Ms. Bertha walked me through this healing in a way that nobody else has ever even mentioned before. Directly with Jesus!! I had to allow Jesus into these hard moments. The moments I always thought that Jesus had abandoned me in. She had me close my eyes and picture Jesus in the room with the child whose dad used his affection in the wrong way. I’m not going to tell you that I willingly walked into Jesus’ arms, because I never saw him there before. Yet, when I finally looked at Him and saw the same tears of that little child in His eyes I knew he felt my pain. Then I allowed myself to finally accept his arms and release the pain and fear. I opened the door left the trauma inside and locked the door behind it forever. felt I deserved to carry this pain. Ms. Bertha gave me all the time I needed because ultimately it must be our choice to let go and allow Jesus to take it. He won’t take what we won’t give him.
